Project colors - tips?

Looking for some ideas on how to use colors for projects. I didn't discover this feature until recently, so not sure what seems to be the best way to "organize colors". Any thoughts/tips?

Hello Klaus,

It depends on your workflow - if you only have a few projects (less than 10-20), you could use unique colors. If you have more projects and sub-projects, you could use the same or similar colors for the sub-project groups.

Aside from that, you could try to use colors you like for projects you normally don't like to do to motivate yourself to pay attention to them :-) If there's a project with tasks that you always postpone, don't set it to a color that you dislike as it could increase the chance you'll stay away from it.

We've posted on our blog about color-coding projects and labels and how it can increase productivity, please check it out: https://todoist.com/blog/2013/08/color-coding-projects-and-labels-a-relief-for-the-brain/
