Daylight Savings Time problems

Now that my computer has automatically adjusted for daylight savings time (I'm in the UTC-5:00 zone--Eastern time--Toronto), all of my Todoist apps (gmail plugin, browser plugin, desktop app) think I've moved into the -4:00 zone.

I found one thread on this (http://todoist.com/Support/show/26191/) but wondered if there is not a better solution than changing your time zone? Can todoist not be made compatible with DST?

Hi Stephen,

Todoist should automatically ask you to change your timezone upon changes like this. If it's not accepted, that is when problems occur.

OK. Thanks for the quick response.

My suggestion would be for todoist not to view this as a change of timezone, which is incorrect, but to recognize it as DST.

I had a similar issue. A notification that was supposed to trigger at 7 am now got triggered at 8 am after the DST change. I checked my time zone and it was set to GMT-0700 AMerica/LosAngeles, I changed it to GMT-0700 US/Pacific and updated my reminder.

I wish the DST change was applied automatically :(
