I am not able to filter the tasks assigned to a specific person.
For example, what is the syntax to filter tasks assigned to a specific user sharing a project (e.g. john Doe)?
Unfortunately, that's not possible right now, but we'll consider adding such option in the future and you're welcome to vote for it in our Votebox: https://todoist.com/Vote/show/7785/
The Votebox is closed. Is this feature coming anytime soon?
We're not currently working to bring this functionality right now but it is possible that we'll add it in the future.
Did you start the work on the subject? It's extremely usefull for someone who deals with many users in his workgoup.
Unfortunately not yet, but we'll surely consider adding such option in the future.
Any idea when thic can happen?
Unfortunately, we don't have any estimates at this point.
This is a critical requirement. Please consider adding this.
What about adding a label for each person and then assigning the label to the task within a shared project? Far from ideal solution, but could work until Todoist puts out a roadmap with this feature on it.
Also I find that sharing an entire project is not so good, I would rather share tasks...but that is just because I work on a lot of confidential type stuff that my team cannot be fully disclosed on.
The filter solution might work, but I think there is a bug in that if I create a filter and attached a filter AND assign the task, then the item does not show up in the filter.
If I remove the assignee, then it shows up in the filter.
Filtering by whom the task is assigned is a critical function as the central manager. Please add it soon. The vote box is full.
And ditto Greg Nelsons comment above. I experienced the same thing. It makes the list useless.
