Hi, I have a question about the sharing feature in the GMail app. If I add an email as task and share this task with a coworker - can the coworker read the email then? How is this working?
If you use the "Email task to this project" option where you send the whole email to this project, then it will convert into a task with a note and the note will contain the whole email body which everyone in the project can read.
However, it you only use the "Add email as task" option through the Gmail plugin where you only create a link to this email then aside from the email subject (unless you change the name of the task), no one will be able to access your email because these links require Google's authorization. So if someone clicks on it, they will be asked to log into Gmail and if they won't log into your Gmail account (which they won't), the email with the linked ID will not exist in their Gmail inbox.
In other words - unless you share you private Gmail login credentials with someone, they won't find your email in their Gmail inbox though such link.
Thanks David for the clarification. (+1)
