Battery drain with Outlook app

I added the Todoist Outlook plugin to my Outlook recently. I found it very handy to use for tracking emails as Todo's.

However, shortly after installing it, I started having major battery drain. Normally I can get 3 or 4 hours out of my laptop battery but with Todoist installed, I was only getting 1 or 2 hours. I checked task manager and there are two Todoist helper apps running so I don't know if that's part of it.

I deactivated the Todoist plug in and my battery life has returned to normal.

Is this a known problem?

Hi Rick,

No, we have not had any reports of this in the past. Can you tell me,

- Which version of Windows are you running?
- Version of Outlook?
- Which laptop are you using?

Hi Brendon,

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit in a virtual machine through Parallels on a Macbook Pro (2.3 GHz, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, SSD).

Now, for example, I've been running for the last 4 hours with 50% battery only draining to 35% with only one plug in for 15 minutes.

Doing the same activities with the same VM and applications with the Todoist helper plugin installed will drain from 100% to 30% in the same time frame.

To be clear, are you using the VM with other applications without Todoist installed, and it's not draining the battery?

Correct. I'll re-enable it again and see if I can get some statistics and post back.
