Why are new entries delayed by 5 secds before showing up in my List?

JP

I have 3 major problems!
(In order of importance):

1. "Next 7 Days" is my ToDoist homepage. I hit Ctrl+Q (using Mac OSX, Chrome) to add a new task, but it takes about 5-10 seconds before the task appears in my Today List (or list in question). For years it used to be immediate! But suddenly, about 2 weeks ago, it started delaying like this. It's really frustrating, especially when I have so many to add, and need to position them accordingly.

2. Because it takes so long for a new entry to show up on my list, I sometimes hit "refresh". But when I do, it muddles all my neatly arranged tasks!

3. My Chrome extension isn't working! It only shows a tiny box about 10px by 10px when I click on it. The icon shows how many tasks I have for the day, but when I click on it, I only get that small box.

PLEASE GUYS!? ANY HELP HERE!??

Hello James,

There is a few seconds delay for actions made on date-based views to improve the performance - instead of sending multiple small updates, it will "collect" them and if you don't do anything after a couple seconds, send the combined update, it should certainly be less that 5 seconds, though, rather 2-3 seconds at most.

If you need to add multiple tasks at once and they're all for the same project, we recommend to use the "+ Add task" link at the bottom of a task list within a project, it allows adding multiple tasks much faster, one after another.

Reg. the Chrome extension - if disabling some other extensions which may collide with our, won't work, please send a screenshot showing this issue to david@doist.io and brendon@doist.io

Best regards,
David
