Mac Calendar Sync

AN

I just installed ToDoIst. When trying to access settings, it directs me to a forbidden error site. I want to be able to sync with either my google calendar, or best case scenario, right into the Calendar on my mac. Please help.

Hi Alan,

Which browser are you using? Are you heading directly to http://www.todoist.com or from a bookmark, as that could be causing the issue.

Does it occur for the whole site, or only when you click on the gear icon in the top right corner?

Regards,
Brendon.

it actually is working now. The settings come up. But, is the syncing feature not available for free users?

Alan,

Yes sorry. I should have mentioned that. The iCal sync is for Premium users only.

Brendon.

... and, is that sync a two-way sync? If not, is this a feature that is on its way?

Alan,

No it's not. Sadly, the iCal sync is only one way, and not customizable. As in, its for all projects/tasks and no times, they show as full-day events. Many of this is due to how iCal works, and we do hope we can implement a better system in the future. We do not have any idea of when though, at this time.

Brendon.

Hi Brendon - just piggy backing on this conversation! How do you get iCalendar to synch with the Premium version please? I am using the Calendar app on a MacBook pro, and would like to have a separate Calendar that shows all my Todoist activity on it, if possible.

Also, do you have any update about when there may be an improved version of the synch available?

And I see there is a plugin for Outlook, so you can easily create Tasks from within Outlook. Is there something similar for using it with Mac email?

Many thanks!
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

We actually have a video that shows you how to set it up. Check this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE. :-)

As for sync, we don't have any news about that yet but we'll update this post if there are any changes. :-(

We don't have a plug-in for Outlook for Mac but we do have a plug-ins for Thunderbird and Postbox. Refer to this link for the apps and plug-ins available in different platforms and applications: http://todoist.com/thunderbird. Just click on the one that you're interested in.

Best Regards,

Clyde

Hi Chris,

When you get the iCal feed URL, please then follow these instructions to add this copied link to your iCalendar: mcb.berkeley.edu/academic-programs/seminars/ical-feed-instructions but use the iCal feed from our site, not the one posted on Berkley's site.

Galina
