Outlook Calendar Sync with ToDoIst

I have added ToDoIst via iCal as a calendar to outlook.
So far this works great.
Out of your Video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE ) I learned that the calendar will automatically be updated when I make changes in ToDoIst.
This is just working, if I restart Outlook.

Is there a way that I instruct Outlook to refresh every 10 Min. ( or similar ) ?

regards
Reiner

Hello Reiner,

Outlook should sync the calendar each time you use send/receive. You can configure when it should send/receive everything automatically in Options -> Advanced -> Send/Receive

Hello Rune,

That's unfortunately not possible only a one-way sync from Todoist to Outlook's Calendar is now supported.

That is most unfortunate. Is it on the feature backlog?

As a workaround, is there any way to manually create Todoist tasks based on Outlook calendar events? Same as you would for an email (right-click, add todoist)?

Hello John,

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for it right now and we're unsure when we'll add such option, but we'll consider it for future updates.

Thanks David - as an additional note for anyone reading this, I modified the macro created by Gergely - http://todoist.com/Support/show/43762/ - and it works as advertised. A worthwhile workaround while we await its inclusion in the product.

Hi Rob,

Could you please clarify which main calendar you are referring to? Is it an Outlook Calendar? You can get your tasks into it with the iCal feed URL. You can find it in Todoist Settings > General (at the bottom).

It will also work with other calendars that accept iCal feeds. Please watch this short video to see how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzGubOy8GuE

Hi

Apologies its outlook 2013. It works ok but creates a new calendar, I was trying to pull the Todoist items into my default Outlook calendar. I can overaly the todosit and the default so not a problem in Outlook but would prefer to them in the same one.

Regards

Rob

Hi,

Have you already submitted your iCal URL to Outlook calendar?

Please refer to this short vide to see how it works (there are examples with Google Cal and Outlook Cal):

Have you watched the video?

Please go to Todoist Settings under the gear icon > General > copy the link at the bottom. Then open Outlook and click Open Calendar at the top menu > choose "From Internet" > paste the URL there and then confirm :-)

After that your tasks from Todoist should show up in your Outlook calendar.

I don't have Outlook 2007 at hand to test, but I have done a bit of research. Please refer to this article about Google Cal but try to paste our URL instead:
