Latest Outlook Update Took Away Todoist...

This morning I opened Outlook and a popup asked me to update to the latest version of Todoist. I did so and since the upgrade Todoist won't load. When I check plugin in Outlook 2010 it shows Todoist as inactive but I am unable to make it active.

I have uninstalled Todoist via Control Panel, redownloaded and reinstalled using Run as Administrator and still nothing worked. Still shows as inactive in Outlook.

My system is a Windows 8 Pro with Outlook 2010 (32bit).

Is there a link to the older version or way to get this to work?

Thank you,

Hi Justin,

Please uninstall that version, and install this updated (today) version. https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/49603436f7edf6fa3baa609dbdda1c1d/as/OutlookTodoist.Adx.exe

It should not have any trouble. If it does, you are saying that within the Addin area, it shows OutlookTodoist, but its greyed out and can not be changed?

Hi Brendon -

I uninstalled the previous version and installed the version you linked to. Same result. Todoist shows up on the Addin list but under the Inactive Application Addins header.

Here is what appears in my Addin window:

Name: OutlookTodoistADX
Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\OutlookTodoistADX\adxloader.dll
Type: COM Add-in

I can't find a way to change that from inactive to active nor is there any explanation why Outlook has decided to make it an inactive addin.

I just found a dialog under the

File -> Options -> Addins -> Manage (at the bottom of the Add-ins window).

In here I found Todoist unchecked. I checked it and found this message:

Load Behavior: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in.

Not sure if that helps...

Please try uninstalling the plugin from Add/Remove Programs, clear the cache and offline data for Chrome, reboot the system. And re-install.

Does it still occur?

Hi Brendon,

Went through the above steps and still shows as an inactive add-in in Outlook.

Any other ideas?

Thank you,

Hello Justin,

I'll pass it to the developers and we'll look into it.
