Create task from email on Gmail for Android

JM

Is there a way to create a task from an email while being on the Gmail app for android. Say for instance by forwarding it to a specific address with a particular subj line. Kind of like Boomarang works or how like Evernote by sending it to a personalized email?

Hi jay,

We don't have any apps that support it such as the desktop versions, but yes, you can email tasks to each project. https://todoist.com/blog/2013/01/zero-inbox-policy-with-todoist/

Any chance a support similar to that of the browser version will come in the future?

Hello,

You can already forward emails to Todoist from any platform :-) To do so, right-click on a project (on the web) and choose "Email tasks to this project".

As for adding emails to tasks by linking to them - you could use the option to add any website as a task while you're on the Gmail site, though it may not work reliably due to the fact that Google seems to always force-redirect to the Inbox of the mobile version of Gmail.

We will consider implementing an integration with the Gmail app itself, if possible.

Regards,
David

Yeah, but then I always have to switch back and forth between apps and search for emails or tasks because they are not linked via URL or otherwise.
