Filters act differently in Windows App and web version than in IoS
I have filters set up on the Windows App which work perfectly on the App and also on the web version. However when using the IoS Apps on both and iPad and iPhone, the same filters return both the results from the Windows App BUT ALSO every task that does not have any label. How can I fix this?
Please let us know what filters are you referring to exactly? Please copy/paste the query from these filters.
I've sent you a direct response to your email with screen shots attached to show the results of the query on both Windows and IoS. The query was (today, overdue) & @photography with 'photography' being one of my labels. The saved query always returns the correct answer in Windows but not in IoS.
I haven't received any emails from you, but thank you for clarifying what the filter is, I can reproduce this issue and have passed it to the developers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have also got this problem and it's a deal breaker for me. I'm in the first few days of my premium account purchase but if filters for iOS can't be resolved before the end of my month I'll have to ask for my refund - sophisticated searching (filters) is my primary means of managing my tasks
I'm running into this same problem. I've setup very similar filters to what Mike mentions above as well as a few more complicated. They work great in the OSX application and online, but they don't work on my iPad and iPhone. Really would like this working since I often use my iPad when I'm mobile in the office but now I can't get the same view that I have when I'm working at my desk. Sample filter: (overdue | 3 days & !@Quote) & (overdue | 3 days & !@essentials) & (overdue | 3 days & !@Book) & (overdue | 3 days & !@connect)
Any insight and a timeline on this being fixed in the iOS apps would be very much appreciated.
We don't have any kind of ETA on this yet but we hope it won't be that much longer.
Thanks for the reply. Is this fix part of your current release cycle / backlog or is it not scheduled yet? (I work in a software company in product management and that is the pretty typical reply that I give when something isn’t even scheduled…) It’s not a biggie, I understand how development goes, I’m just curious.
We've had multiple issues with filters and are correcting all of them which will hopefully soon fix even the most advanced filters on iOS. There's a version pending for approval which doesn't address this case yet, but the one after that should.
