Please enable third-party cookies in your browser or make sure you're not using a Gmail Labs extension called "Preview Pane".

So Preview Pane Gmail Labs feature is disabled, and third-party cookies are accepted in your browser, and you do not see the TD Add button at the top menu within Gmail?

Do you have any other extensions installed for Firefox that may change Gmail's UI or anything such as this? Script blocking?

I had the same problem and it was solved by turning the "preview pane" off in labs. However, I really like this function and prefer reading my mail in this manner. Could you advise on whether one will be able to use Todoist Gmail function while "preview pane" is enabled in the near future?
Thanks, Best, Brent

We hope a solution will be found but at this time it looks like we can't do anything about it.

ugh. The comment above makes me sad. So far I really like what I'm seeing in this tool, but losing my preview pane may be a deal breaker. :(

I agree with Ann ... Todoist is a very nice approach, but preview pane is extremely useful in managing a busy email account.

Same here, I'm afraid. I also would like to import tasks from other apps including Google Tasks.

Please tell me:
- Do you have a Gmail Labs extension called "Preview Pane" enabled?
- What URL do you see when you open the message which you'd like to link as a task?

Best regards,

Can I send to You screenshot ?

BTW: On another PC with Linux, Chromium ver. 29.0.1547.65, Todoist Gmail plugin ver. 1.7 function "Add" is working corect

Unfortunately, this may be Chrome's issue. You're using a very old version of it (22), the latest Windows version is already 33 and we can't reproduce this issue (and you can't on version 29 either).

Please upgrade Chrome on the computer where you're experiencing it and if it still persists - let us know.

OK, thank you :)

I can't upgrade Chrome :( I have old version of Ubuntu ... maybe later ;-)

Thanks for your willingness

The upgrade of Chrome to newer version 28.0.1500.95 is successful.
Incredible ! It is working :)
Thank you for support :)

I agree that not being able to use the preview pane is a deal breaker for me. PLEASE expedite development to fix this issue.

I just the ones before me: I signed up for your service because this function has impressed me a lot in your intro video and I'm greatly disappointed that it doesn't work together with Preview pane.

Please do something about it quick. :)

We're sorry for the inconvenience, but in order for our plugin to be able to identify an email message and allow you to link to it, Gmail must not have any modifications in the URL of the page when reading a message.

The Preview Pane makes changes to the URL which we can't control or work around them. That said, we encourage you to contact the authors of the Preview Pane extension and ask them to leave the URL of the page exactly as it is without the pane. This will allow us and every developer who relies on this URL to identify a message when it's opened.

Will all do respect David Trey, why can't you guys, as developers yourselves, kindly ask your fellow developers in Labs about this with the URL?
OK, maybe you support people don't do the coding, but pass it on then :-)

That way you'd really leave a great impression on us simple users. And you'll get the credit for listening to what we need.

Hello Dragan,

Sometimes it takes more than one person from one company to convince the developer to make such change :-(

OK; Feedback to the developers at Labs / Preview Pane (Peter B & Michael K) left a minute ago with a description of the issue we're having here.

Apologies, my fault. I didn't realize there was a different plugin in addition to the Chrome plugin. It's working and great BTW.

If you open the email in a new window, you will get the todoist icon and functionality. Even from the preview pane (you have to open in new window though)

When I use the "open email in new window", the button shows up, but when I add a task from tak email, the whole url makes the title of that task. Does that work correctly for you ?

Actual Chrom on Windows 7.
