Ordering Items

I would like the ability to order a list without sorting it by priority. Just to manually order it. Other products allow this. Is it possible ?

Hi Steven,

Within each project, you can do this assuming you do not use any of the options in the top right corner, sort by date, name or priority. That would break any order you have created, at least if they have priorities or dates attached to them. Just hover over the tasks, and on the left hand side you will see three dots, grab and drag this to organize.

This order will only stay while in the Project view, the date based views (today, 7 days) does not allow this.

I have a similar question/concern. I order my tasks, both within a given project and within the "Today" and "Next 7 days" views by when I want to complete them, regardless of priority. For example, I may want a low-priority task at the top of my list because I can quickly get it out of the way first thing in the morning, with some higher priority tasks I plan on completing later in the day listed below it.

I've encountered 2 problems with this:

1) When I re-order tasks for a given project, the order doesn't update in the "Today" or "Next 7 days" views. I have to re-order them manually in each view.

2) When I re-order tasks for any given view on my desktop, the order doesn't update on my other devices and vice versa.

Any chance you guys can address these issues? They are the only complaints I have about what is otherwise a phenomenal app!

1. They are different views, and date based views are automatically sorted another way.

2. Each platform works a bit differently, some of them do sync the desktop versions, but some do not. We hope we can improve this in the future.

Thanks, Brendon. Glad to hear you may be able to address issue #2. As for issue #1, I'm hoping your next update could enable users to sort tasks that have been assigned the SAME date as they wish, such that the order of tasks for a given date is maintained across all views.
