Due date VS. Action date

So, here is the thing.
Most of my tasks have some due dates. What Todoist does is puts them in that particular date. The thing is that all these tasks are "next actions", they can (and most of the times) be done today. In fact, getting to the task on its due date is too late.

What I mean is that I want to assign due dates to the tasks, but I need to see them on my to-do list today.
Just to give example of what I mean: such feature is working great on Azendoo: you assign a due date to a task, but you also plan WHEN to work on it - today, tomorrow (any day), this week, next week or even "someday"

Hello Taras,

Unfortunately, that's not possible right now. You could set the task to today instead and include the deadline in the task's name or add a label to is such as @25_feb so keep track of the deadline, but you can't set two dates to it - due and "starting".

We may consider adding such option in the future, though, and you're welcome to vote for it in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/show/6505/

Best regards,
