Hello, my understanding is that your Android app doesn't generate its own reminders notifications, but that they must be pushed through to email/sms and so if I'm not connected to the Internet, I won't receive my reminders. Is this the case? I also understand that you are planning to rectify this in an upcoming release. Can you give an ETA for this release? I'm looking to replace my RTM subscription and I love the Todoist Android layout but I can't possibly switch without knowing my reminders will go off when they are due - whether I'm on a plane or in a roaming area. If it's coming soon, I'll stop my search and wait. Can you give me some idea of how long the wait will be?

Hello Ken,

That's no longer the case. These were all push notifications in the past, but since the last few updates, they are actually generated by the app locally and you don't need to be online to get a reminder.

Of course, to clarify, if you add a reminder to your task through the web and your phone is already offline and won't sync this change, then indeed, the Android app won't know that this task should have a reminder as the change hasn't synced, but aside from this situation, if you add the reminder via Android or sync the Android app with the latest data from the web, the reminders will go off anytime and the app will generate them.

Best regards,
