General Trouble/Glitches Since Todoist Next Launch

I just wanted to finally bring to your attention (just in case) that I'm having all sorts of weird things happening off and on. Examples in brief:
*In tasks with notes the edit and trash icons disappear completely. I click, move the mouse, click again, scroll up/down and nothing. Then suddenly they'll appear in a neighboring note, but not the one I want. And sometimes I can just barely see what I believe to be the bottoms of the edit/trash icons just out of reach at the top - no way to click on them or even to see the whole icon.
*When I go to 'change project' in a task, it hesitates, freezes, and then when I finally get the option to appear, it tells me to select a project from a supposed drop-down list that is totally blank.
*I'm forgetting one or two other oddities, but I just can't recall at the moment. This could be only a Chrome issue, but my Todoist app has also stopped working (accessing) several times since last week. I can't use the app or the old shortcut that I had in Chrome before the apps. I have to go to a separate tab and manually type in the address.

None of these are the end of the world, but the edit/trash function was really getting on my nerves the other day as I was trying to clean up several notes. Thanks for "listening" - I know that it often helps (and probably often irritates) to receive these reports.

Hi Klein,

Please confirm, these are all when using the web version on Chrome, or using the Chrome extension? From first glace, after playing with it to see if I can reproduce, I cannot. I would suggest clearing all cache and offline data for Chrome, and then trying again.

The Chrome app not loading is a known issue and is actually a problem with Chrome, it affects certain extensions/apps. We hope they will resolve it soon.

Web version. The cache, etc. has been cleared. Just to be clear, the issue seems to come and go. It has not been a consistent issue - probably 50% of the time, but more with the edit/trash icon problem.

I can only confirm what Brendon said - I couldn't reproduce it either. Please note that if it happens in shared project, you can only edit or delete notes/comment that have been written by you, you won't see these icons in someone else's comments.

You've mentioned bookmarks - this can be the main cause of a variety of multiple issues. Todoist has to be accessed from this exact URL: https://todoist.com if you have a bookmark pointing to https://todoist.com/app?v=204#agenda/overdue,__today for example, then as soon as there's an update and the version changes to 205, these kind of issues can happen. Also, our app will try to set up offline storage for todoist.com if you use en.todoist.com as your bookmark, that could confuse it as well.

That said, please manually remove Todoist's data in Chrome's Adv. Settings -> Content Settings -> All cookies and site data (which may not be cleared completely when clearing the cache automatically), reload the browser and from there on, always access Todoist through the main URL todoist.com

If this happens to you again, please try to open Chrome's Incognito Window and see if it happens there as well.

Thanks, David. I will clean things out as you instructed. The bookmark is something I have only gone back to using lately as the Chrome app has ceased working half of the time. I do notice, however, that when I've had to type Todoist into a Google search that it defaults to the address with the 'en.' at the beginning. So that's the link I've used recently when nothing else will work.

As to the main issue, the glitches. I understand that you can't reproduce it, and as I stated it works sometimes. The issue with the edit/trash icon disappearing is very frequent, however. And this is just being used by me - no shared projects, FYI. I'll just keep plugging away and hope it eventually goes away.

Oh, and the URL that you gave above - the one that you said WILL tend to cause glitches? That IS where my Chrome app takes me, I think, when it works. When it won't open from the app the address just shows: https://todoist.com/app?v=204 and nothing happens, ditto the bookmark. I guess these nice little tools aren't always the best things to use.
