Synchronization and the order of tasks?

Dear Todoist Support.

I like organize my "Today"-list so that all tasks are listed chronologically. However, I often find that the order of tasks is messed up when I change between my iPhone and your webpage.

Example: In the evening I organize my "Tomorrow"-list neatly, so that it waits for me in the morning. However, when i pickup my iPhone in the morning, the order of the tasks have changed.

So I change them back once again.

Then, later during the day, I log into your webpage from my Chromebook at work to review some projects and discover that the login process seems to reorganize the items once again.

So I change them back once again.

Is there a way to ensure that synchronization obeys the latest arrangement performed by the user? I like my "Today"-list shaken, not stirred.

Hello Mick,

Tasks on the today view can only be reordered within their priority grouped and can't be reordered if they have a due time.

That said, please tell me - are you trying to drag & drop tasks that have a time or those with a priority to a different priority group (p1 tasks below p3, for example)?

Best regards,

Mostly just tasks within different priority groups, but I suppose a workaround is to avoid using priority groups altogether, since I'd rather have a fixed list after sorting it once.

Thank you for the answer, David!
