Star or Focus List

Most GTD apps have a Star or Focus list. This is useful when reviewing your projects or Next actions lists you find a task you want to focus your attention on and you click star and it appears on the "Star" or "focus" list without coming out of the project list it's currently in. Does Todoist have this feature?

No we do not. You can use Labels for this type of situation, but I suppose it would not be as STRONG as an Icon such as a star to know.

We will consider adding this option in the future.

In classis GTD, the focus list is limited to

1) Next (ASAP)
2) Someday (when I feel like it)
3) Waiting for (all tasks delegated to other people or that require some form of input not available yet)

Doit.im has these areas focused at the absolute top of their apps & website. Labels are DEFINETELY not as strong as the functionality doit.im offers when it comes to this, since they disappear among the 3.000 other labels one might have.

@hntopper1 As a former Toodledo user I can see the value here. I use a custom filter to manage my focus items. Query below:

(overdue,today) & (priority 1, priority 2)

Note: My Pri 1 items are my focus items. Per my philosophy, if a task is deemed pri 1 then I finish it that day. Alternatively, if you must use a focus label, the query below will work:

(overdue,today) & (priority 1, priority 2) | (@FOCUS)

Good Luck
