cannot delete account


When I try to delete my account it says bad request and will not let me. Please let me know how to do this. I really like it and will probably buy full usage in the future but I need to cancel for now

You went to Todoist.com, top right corner, Settings, Account, and clicked on the Delete My Account button. It gave a Bad Request error message?

Does it still happen now? Does logging out, clearing the cache for your browser, and trying again help?

I've tried to delete my account using both IE and Chrome. Using Chrome I get the "Bad Request" pop-up. Using IE I get "Web page not found. I've deleted the cashe.

Hello Peter,

I can't reproduce this issue. I've successfully managed to delete test accounts through Chrome now. Please make sure you're not using ad- or script-blocking plugins.

Also, try to edit your email address before you try to delete your account as I see you're using a special character within the domain.

I've tried to update the email address, but when I correct it I'm told that the email address is already known. That is why I was trying to delete the account. I'm not using ad or script blocking plugins to my knowledge. Is there anything else I can check?

Please try to change the address to something else such as 1d56g4@fs4d5g6a4.sdg this shouldn't be an address already in use. After that, you can delete the account and reuse the now free email address.
