Sending tasks with due date via email

Is below not a valid date format, I only get 'walk the dog' with no date when it's added?

Walk the Dog <date Jan 18, 2014 11:00AM>

Hi Andrew,

Please try removing "date" from that syntax, and let me know if it still does not work for you.

Regards,
Brendon.

Didn't work, the task gets added with the date as part of the todo, not as the assigned date.

Hello Andrew,

Please try to keep the date, but if it has a time, you must add either @ or at before the time, for example, these two should work:

Walk the Dog <date Jan 18, 2014 @ 11:00AM>

Walk the Dog <date Jan 18, 2014 at 11:00AM>

If they won't, then it could be caused by the fact that you're trying to set a date into the past.

Best regards,
David

hi @David -
I used the first version (slightly revised)...

Draft & send Team Bio to Liza <date July 24, 2015 @ 3:00PM>

... and it set the date and time correctly -- but it looks like the task is recurring? (I see the two bent / circling arrows, which to me denotes "ev day until... [date]").

When I click into the date field (editing it), it only lists the date and time -- i.e., it does not say anything like "every day until...".

Full text of (editable) date field reads "July 24, 2015 @ 3:00PM"

Is that working correctly?

thanks,
John

Hi John,

I think you should omit the year (though don't know why):

....Bio to Liza <date July 24 at 3:00 pm>

That worked (sending without the year) - did NOT create a recurring task.
