Syncing task between 2 people

First of all, thank you for the update. Sharing tasks seems amazing and it should make my business much smoother.

Account a : premium
Account b : free

Sharing a folder worked perfectly

Account a : add a task "test" , with a date
Account b : received it. Change the date
Account a : get the modification

Here's the problem
Account b : change the name of the task with more information
Account a : don't get the modification

Why ?

I hope this is clear enough

Please clarify, were all these tasks under a sub-project of the project you shared? As sub-projects do not get shared unless you share them as well.

there are 1 project with some tasks and 2 sub-projects.
Each sub-projects has others tasks.

I shared only project. I´ll share sub-projects tonight and return with feedback.

I noticed another VERY SERIOUS problem.
We share task with my colleague and we update the task many times until it is 100% done.

- account A created a task in a shared project (step 1)
- account B modified the task (step 2)
- account A received the updated task (step 3)
- account A modifies the task (step 4)
- after the following sync, modification are deleted and the task appears to be back like in step 2

We work on very serious project and we've always trusted todoist. We've never had syncing issued.

Since this last update, i've been very happy of this new shared project feature.

Nos, i'm just very worried of all those syncing issues we've been talking about. I feel like i can't rely on it anymore and i'm not happy about that.

Please test it and sort all those issues.

thank you

The only way i found is to copy and paste the text in a new task and complete the old one.
It's not really serious.

I was really happy with this new feature and really believe it was worth the massive introduction you made to it.

The problem now is that it is not working properly...

Hello Cyril,

We're very sorry for the inconvenience, we're also very frustrated that these issues exist even though we've thoroughly tested the new features before release for a long time :(

I've tried to reproduce it following your steps. In fact, I've modified the task between 2 accounts 5 times back and forth and each modification got synced correctly on both accounts.

That said, please tell me:
- What exactly are you modifying? The task's name, date, label, time, reminder, priority, indent level?
- Can you reproduce this issue in a newly created project?

Best regards,

This issue + this one ( http://todoist.com/Support/show/28978/ ) = useless software

Sorry but please understand my frustration. All my work relies on todoist, in which i used to trust 100%. I now feel that i have to check all the time that everything's alright, it is a permanent task that never get sorted and i don't know what to do.

We fully understand your frustration and we're very sorry for the inconvenience. Again, it frustrates us even more if there's an issue so severe as this one.

That said, considering that we've made some changes, we would greatly appreciate if you could please confirm if you can reproduce this issue in a newly created project. We believe it's an issue with project IDs, but again - to be 100% sure, a confirmation from you would help us a lot. Please create a new project, try the steps above and let us know, we would really appreciate it.

Best regards,
