Can we have an optional task Start Date and a task end date? #Start

I have tasks that I work on that I cannot start before a certain date. But as soon as I can start them, I would like them to show up on my daily to-do list. I wish I did not have to postpone them all individaully (and effect my Karma in the process) since they are not due for another week. I would only like them to show up as past due if I have actually missed when the due date is, but also be able to see the actual due date of those tasks instead of today or the start date.

Hello Barbara,

Although it's not possible to completely hide a task that will start in the future from within a project, you can set it with a date: "every day starting Tuesday" or "every 5 days starting 25 Jan". It will only occur on your 7 days for the first occurrence according to the start date.

Unfortunately, this can only be done with recurring tasks as single occurring tasks will by default only show up on one specific date in the future.

What David is trying to say is that Todoist does not support start dates.
I'd very strongly suggest going to Omnifocus or Things. The Hit List would be another wonderful option if it had an iPad version.
