Gmail plug-in doesn't allow logging in w/ Gmail account

Hi there!

I just installed the Todoist plug-in for Gmail. However, I'm unable to log in with my Gmail account. After I get the pop-up window (when I click the "Log in with Google account" icon) asking me to log-in with my Gmail account and I click on my account, nothing happens.

What should I do?

Hi Gabriela,

Which browser are you using, and do you have any extensions installed? Do you also have any Gmail Labs features turned on, such as Preview Pane?

If you sign in with your username and password does the issue still occur?

I am having the same problem. I am using Chrome on OS X. I tried authenticating using gmail, and when that failed, I tried authenticating with the username and password. I also tried again after refreshing the page.

Please confirm, you do not have Preview Pane enabled for Gmail, or any other extensions/plugins for Gmail or your browser?

Do you only have the issue with Chrome? If possible, does the issue occur with the Firefox version?

I do not have preview pane enabled. I have lots of other extensions, which could be the problem. Let me try toggling some of them and see if that helps.

I am able to log in via firefox, at least.

Okay, I just tried logging in to todoist using an incognito window in Chrome. In this window, I had all of my extensions disabled. I was still unable to log in either through Google's authentication or regular username / password.

So to confirm, you are able to use FIrefox without issue? I will pass this onto the developers now as that does help with figuring out the issue.

We had a similar issue in the past that was related to the URL used for some Gmail accounts, can you post the URL shown when you are logged in so we can see if that might be the cause.

I don't feel comfortable universally allowing third-party cookies.

But I was able to fix this by going into the cookie settings in chrome, clicking "Manage Exceptions," and typing the following entry:

and select "Allow"

Thanks for your prompt help :)
