Outlook App is not showing up as an Add-In
Windows 8.1/Outlook 2013
The todoist outlook app appears to install successfully. After wards there is no sign in Outlook that it has been installed. todoist doesn't show up in the add-ins to enable. The app does show up in control panel that it has been installed on the machine. I have uninstalled and reinstall the todoits outlook app but that didn't help.
I run the installation under an account that has admin access (to install applications). My standard login account that I use outlook with does not have local administrative access.
As a side note I installed the todoist windows app in the same manner and it works just fine. No issues with that one.
Please right click on the installer, and choose Run As Admin. Let me know if it still does not actually install after doing that.
There seems to be a new issue, and I believe this may be the cause. If so, I will let the developers know.
I just signed up with ToDoist and am having the same problem cited by Roger above. I ran the installer as Admin. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. All appears to be loading acceptably, but I cannot find any sign of Todoist in my Outlook -- nothing under Add-ins, nothing on the right of the screen, no reference to Todoist under View tab. Help? My desktop is running Windows 7, and I'm using Outlook 2013 connected to an Exchange service. Help?

There are issues with certain versions found on this site, and may not be the best solution. We are about to release a major update fixing all these issues very soon (hopefully in a week or so).

Thanks Brendon, really looking forward to the update you are referring to. The outlook integration is the key differentiator for your product for me. I am in Outlook virtually all day and receive a good bit of my tasks through email. I will wait a week or so for the update....
I have the same issue. Outlook 2010 and Windows 8.1. All patched and updated. I don't have admin rights either - but installed it using Admin rights - same issue.

To install the Todoist Outlook add-in, please go to https://todoist.com/outlook download and install it from there and you should see a pane on the right with your Todoist tasks.

I see the Todoist toolbar, but clicking on it doesn't do anything.

The video of this feature looks promising and 'makes' the product viable for me. Hoping it will work.
Once installed, please try clearing the cache for IE, and also make sure it's accepting all third-party cookies, and isn't too high on security settings.
We will have a major update soon, hopefully within a week, which should address this and other issues.
I'm not using IE.

and, the problem is with MS Outlook
Our Outlook plugin is a frame that uses IE to connect to the Todoist site (regardless of what browser you use as default). That said, any issue with it will relate directly to IE. The Outlook plugin also shares IE's settings, cache and cookies.

Yes, we're working on it right now and the upgraded ported version should be available in near future. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Same problem as all above - when is the new update going live?
Unfortunately, we don't have a deadline. Considering how many issues we've had with it in the past, this time we really want to finally provide a completely fixed version and will work on it until it's fixed. It shouldn't take too long at this point, though, but unfortunately, we can't specify any particular day of release :(
Thanks David - is there any 'workarounds' to convert an email onto Todoist at the moment?
Although there is no workaround to convert them to a link as they would with the Outlook plugin, you can of course send them to your projects via email directly (which will also convert the email body to a task note making it accessible from every platform).

Still not working for me...any update?
Please close Outlook, clear cache for Chrome, and re-try. I am not able to reproduce this issue anymore. Double check the Add/Remove Programs area to make sure it is indeed installed.
