Outlook plug-in not functioning
All worked fine last week. This morning, the plug in shows the TD panel but it only shows 3 blocks as if it is loading. I have no problem logging in via internet.
Plug in is activated and I am running latest version of IE.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
The only thing that has changed is our passwords for our server were reset this weekend. As everything is logged in now, I would not think this would cause the issue.
Having the exact same issue as well. Trying to figure it out with support. I think the plug-in is corrupt. No amount of unistalling and reinstalling is helping. Now the plug in dissapears entirely.
Please try to access Todoist through IE, log out in IE and then close it,close and reload Outlook and try to log into your Todoist account through the plugin.
We'll soon publish an update of our Outlook plugin with a new engine and multiple bug fixes which should address this issue as well.
Thank you for the reply. I tried your suggestions and they did not work. I cannot log into the account on the Outlook page as all I see is the TD icon and the three progress bars. No options are available at all except for the link at the bottom that to take me to your webpage login screen.
Johathan Hacohen, right now our plug in box is still there, just nothing happening other than the three progress bars changing from black to grey as if it were working.
Please let me know if you make progress.
Nope. I have tried everything. Installed IE 11, uninstalled, reinstalled plug in for outlook. I get the 3 bars of progress also, then my plug in corrupts and dissapears all together from my outlook. I need that updated plugin- looks like the current one has stopped working for me :(
I've been using the Outlook plug in for a year and a half and today it stopped working - just a blank frame. There are several support threads about this issue. Not sure we can wait 1-2 weeks for the next update.
I have a similar problem - Outlook plugin window shows the top and bottom (the icons and Show menu button) as usual but no tasks. Would rather have a quick temporary fix than waiting for a new major update.
We're sorry for the inconvenience, we've already ported the engine so finalizing the new version shouldn't take much longer at this point. Of course in case of any critical issue we would have published a quick fix, but unfortunately, we can't reproduce it under any circumstance :(
Add me to the list. Same issue.
David Trey, Any update on the timing of the new release?
If all goes well, end of the month.
So, having gone through a week where I cannot use the Outlook plugin and thus cannot access the emails I tagged in Todoist I am a very frustrated paid user. The suggestion that we should all wait three more weeks is not one I can accept and, IMO, demonstrates a severe lack of interest in keeping your customers happy.
I respectfully request that you re-think your position here.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience. We always try to avoid setting deadlines because they're always inaccurate. We will release it the day it's done ASAP. It could be next week, if our developer will manage to fix all issues on the new version ported to the new engine, but unfortunately, it's impossible to precisely estimate when that's going to happen even for our programmer.
The end of this month is not a fixed release date, it's a very rough estimate, probably it'll be sooner, but we rather not make promises we can't keep and disappoint you if the day comes and it would have to wait one more day.
We're also very frustrated with all the issues that occurred in our Outlook plugin and how many different programmers worked on them and we still couldn't provide you a perfectly working release, but right now we're really confident that the current programmer will fix it for good/
In all fairness, in my opinion Outlook has always been the weakest link to Todoist. It's the one that I use the most and the one that was the most unstable. Constantly crashing, every other day needed to logout and log back in. I agree that it's hard to function without it. But if we get a stable and solid version of an overhauled outlook plugin, I will be a very happy camper. I would rather it take a little more time than to get something buggy and subpar. All my other Todoist options work awesome (especially iphone app). Looking forward to the outlook one being as solid. Thanks!
I logged in to Outlook this Monday morning and the Todoist plugin is working. I made no changes on my end so either you guys found a backend fix or the gremlins have gone on winter break.
Confirmed. Mine looks to be working as well, just logged in.
Please don't stop on the overhauled plug in :) Let's make the outlook todoist plugin as awesome as possible. I will report back if I have any problems.
Closed outlook and logged back in. Crashing again. I had to go into options, and turn off todoist as a plugin. Nope- we are still at square one :( Spoke too soon.
Mine was working today as well. Hope it stays that way tomorrow.
Does not work again.
I'm wondering if this is why I can't get the installation of the plug in to work. I've read multiple questions on the installation and how to carry it out and tried all the steps, but it's not working.
When I go into the Add-Ins in Outlook, Todoist isn't there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling in Outlook a few times without success. Could these issues be the reason, or is it something else?
Unfortunately, this may be the issue :( We're working on a new version of our plugin which will be ported to a different engine and address all these issues. We're very sorry that it takes so long, but it shouldn't take much longer at this point and we'll soon finally have an awesome perfectly working Outlook plugin.
Thanks for the reply. It's good to know it's not me doing something wrong! I haven't used the Outlook app before, so I'm sure I can wait another few weeks. Look forward to trying out the new version.
Same problem, my outlook add-in stopped working. i unstalled and reinstalled, no help. I have notice that in outlook trust center I can't turn on the add in - I get a message that only administrator can connect. I think this is the source of the problem. Please help! Thanks.
Hi, my Outlook plug-in is not working either...
today January 22nd this issue started to occur with my install. All worked fine up until an hour ago... I've uninstalled, reinstalled, etc... Paid user here and these issues aren't appreciated. I paid based on outlook abilities.
We are very sorry for all the trouble. As stated above we are still working on a major update that will address all these issues. We hope it won't be much longer.
Could you please notify by e-mail messaging or this thread answering if this issue is fixed. Outlook app is very important and useful feature.
We will respond to as many threads as we can when the new version will be released, but we'll also announce it on our social media channels on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and most likely also on our blog.
After releasing the new version the Outlook plugin worked well until today noon. It's the same problem as before.
Is the new plug in available now? Is anyone else still having issues?
We're sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on some last fixes for the update of our Outlook plugin.
Just now happend to me. It was working great until this morning.
Please try to update to the latest version. As these issue has been addressed. http://todoist.com/outlook
it has not been addressed. I reinstalled etc. and receive the same error. Every 30 seconds this error message keeps popping up, I click it, it goes away, and then comes back. I can't even login to the app from within Outlook. Just a blank todoist section.
Here is an image file showing the error
This is incredibly frustrating, to say the least.
This thread is not related to a sync issue with Outlook. Please start a new thread with as much detail as possible. Then we can address your issue.
