Selecting Date in Past for New Task from Calendar Box

There are often times when I need to add a task with a due date that I have already missed, and I don't want to just set the due date to Today because that would skew my list.

When I open the calendar to select a date, it allows me to click Jan 2 from the 2014 page. This inserts 'Jan 2' into the text field, which is then interpreted as 'Jan 2 2015' when I click 'Add Task' (being the next Jan 2 which will come to pass).

The behavior I would expect when clicking a date in the past is for the text field to be populated with '<month> <day> <year>' instead of '<month> <day>'. I am currently typing in the dates manually as '1 2 2014' which becomes tedious. Even allowing the format '1 2 14' would be an improvement.

Thank you.

Hello Mike,

It's very rare that tasks are scheduled deliberately for the past, but we'll look into making it possible to select them through the mini-calendar.

For now, if the task should be set to yesterday, you can simply type "yest" or even "yes" into the date field.

Best regards,
