Outlook email link not active if email moves folder

Hi There,

When emptying my outlook inbox, I like to add actionable emails to ToDoIst then move the email to another folder so that I know I have already processed it. I have found, however, that if I move an email to another folder after i have added it as a task in ToDoIst, the email link on the task does not call up the original email. I presume it can't find the email since the email was moved from its original location. Is it possible to fix this so that a task can find a linked email in Outlook, regardless of what folder it currently resides in?

Hi Ben,

This is a well known issue that should be resolved in an upcoming large update. We don't know the exact release date, but it will be soon.

Agreed..the application is great but this limitation severely effects the use of 'email to todoist'. Do you have any workaround suggestions for the time being? My workaround I'm using currently is really inefficient.

You can install an older version of the plugin, but this re-introduces many other issues. The update to fix all of these should be very soon though, and it would be worth the wait.

Just switching over to Outlook 2013 and found the OutlookTodoistADX and, now, this issue.

Please include me on the update posting. Thank You.

I have the same issue. Is there an ETA on the fix?

Please try to install this version of our Outlook plugin and let us know if the issue persists: https://d2dq6e731uoz0t.cloudfront.net/c7977fe6bfdbdb3ca94762cb1411aee9/as/OutlookTodoist.Adx.exe
