Gmail app- takes to wrong account

I use the new GMail todoist app and have more than one gmail account. I add emails to my todoist list under the inbox project.

Sometimes, when I click on the link in my todosit window to take me to the email, it opens my secondary gmail account which I know the email isn't in. I don't want to have to be logged out of all my gmail accounts in chrome, which I imagine would solve this. What can I do?

Hello Natalie,

Unfortunately, our app is unable to force a logout from Gmail and then a login to a different account. Therefore, if will open the URL of the linked message, but your browser will always "grab" the active Gmail session.

It means that if you have a link to an email in Gmail account A, but at the time you click on it, you're logged into Gmail account B, your browser will not know that the ID of this message belongs to account A and simply try to open the Gmail account you're already logged into.

I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about it as it's the standard behavior of any browser so unless you always log out of Gmail, then the browser won't ask you to what account you want to log in.

Best regards,
