Enlightened!! What's next?

Hi,

Today I crossed 10000. Hurray!! :-)

Now the Karma is increasing 5 at a time and no target to reach. I am afraid if karma would be no longer an incentive! Is there a possibility of adding additional levels! :-)

Congratulations!

We will be adding more stages of enlightenment soon, similar to how the Dan system works in martial arts ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_(rank) ).

Best regards,
Amir

Is there an update to this topic ?

I'm slowly creeping towards Enlightened and always like the gamification aspect of Todoist ?

Will we see another rank ? Is there a timeline for this ?

Hello,

Unfortunately, we can't say for now, we will consider adding more ranks, but please note that the score will not stop growing after it reaches the final rank :-)

Best regards,
David

So is karma never goes down?
Maybe it makes sense to consider only last 3 months? :)

Hello Denis,

If you postpone a lot of tasks or keep many tasks overdue then your Karma will decrease.

I'd also love to have extra-levels. I've reached the level of enlightenment now (although I do not feel like it ;-)) and I fear I've grown addicted to always reaching new levels - I need that to motivate myself.

Please, hurry! :-)

I'm still at Expert. So quite some time before reaching Enlightened. But seriously, add more levels Todoist! Karma and its levels is the main reason I use Todoist! :D

Indeed, thanks. And (maybe someone missed that too) I found that it's possible to set yourself a personal bar in settings: how many tasks per day and per week you think you should use to close. Your karma decreases when you shirk.

Then those who have easily reached the ceiling: rather than motivating yourself by achieving new meaningless levels you could simply set yourself more severe goals (close more tasks per day or week) and try to keep up the "Enlightened" level.

And let force of David Allen be with you! :)

Hmmm...Dennis, I think you are completely right, although having a learning algorithm that raises your day goals to keep you on your edge would help a lot!
In a way, it would be very similar to some video games, where the difficulty increases with your skills...

It can be done manually, but an algorithm would be easy to implement and...well...very cool! Lol
