Keeping popping time zone setting windows in Chrome

Dear Support

I am premium user of todoist and appreciate your great product.
I recently encounter this annoying pop up of time zone setting whenever I refresh my todoist webpage in Chrome.

Chrome Version 31.0.1650.57 m.

And My current time zone is +8 Singapore but the suggested +9 is incorrect. The windows keeps prompting though I clicked " dont update settings". Can you fix this isseu? Thanks

Hi Jason,

Are you sure it's not +9 due to daylight? As Todoist normally asks when it needs to change. Please make sure your desktop, Todoist's settings and all other devices are indeed set to the same timezone.

Thanks for pointing out. I realized that my desktop time zone is set to japan time which is +9! Thanks for prompt support!

I am having this problem too, but in my case my desktop timezone is +5 (New York) and Todoist wants to change me to GMT. Every single time I open the Chrome extension.

I changed my mac's settings to *not* automatically update data and time, and the problem went away.

Todoist will only ask when it's needed, so there must have been a device or area, that was not the same as the rest. Your idea is a solution, but can cause issues with dates & times.

I've just moved from the UK to Melbourne, and am experiencing the same issue. I've changed the timezone to GMT +11, and checked that the time/date settings in my Android app are GMT +11.

I've also unchecked the 'automatically update my location' box on my Mac, and it's still not updating to the right timezone. Instead, I am asked whether I want to update to GMT every time I login/go into the Settings menu, and even though I click the 'don't update' option, nothing happens and I just have to click the 'x' to get rid of the hover box.

Any ideas?

Hello Fi,

Please try to completely clear the app's cache (manually remove its offline storage). then reload the browser, log back in and see if it will suggest you to change the zone to GMT+11 correctly.

Also, please clarify - you've unchecked the "Automatically update timezone" option, but have set your time zone to GMT+11?

Best regards,
