Faulty reminder date/time entry

Some date and time entries for recurring reminders are not working correctly. For example, if I type "ev 2 weeks starting 12/2 at 8 PM", the reminder is set for 11:59 PM.

Ed,

The syntax for recurring reminders need to be in the format [every PERIOD at TIME starting DATE]. For your example, the syntax would be [ev 14 days at 20:00 starting 02 dec]

Randy,

Thanks for clarifying. I did not realize that a specific format was required in this context.

May I suggest supporting the alternative version, as well? To me, it is more intuitive. If that format will not be supported, I would suggest simply telling the user that there is an error in the format and then providing a suggestion or link to more information, rather than accepting the input and setting a reminder for 11:59 by default.

Thanks,
Ed

Hello Ed,

We will look into locking this date formula so that it returns an error. The reason that this syntax is correct because Todoist only support starting dates and not starting times so it's the task itself "ev 2 weeks at 8pm" that is scheduled for a certain time and not the starting date which is a specific one-time occurring date.

Best regards,
David
