Completed tasks still showing

Y

Hi, I searched the archives, and people have asked this question, but the answer has always been that completed subtasks will show, but completed tasks should not show after checked off. That isn't happening for me. All of my completed tasks stay in view, with a line crossed through them. And they are not subtasks. Can you help correct this please? This is happening both on my pc and my android app.
Thanks

Hi,

Can you provide details about these tasks. Are they recurring, do they have reminders, were they create new or were they ever a sub task, etc? If you clear the cache for your browser (clear data for Android) does it still appear?

Thanks,
Brendon.

So I just tried clearing the cache on my pc and the data on my android, and checked off some tasks and they all stayed right where they were, greyed out and line through them. These are tasks that were never sub-tasks before, some in projects, some in inbox. Some had reminders and were recurring, but not all. They all had the same problem though of not disappearing after checked off.

Hello,

Every task, whether it's a sub-task or a parent task will stay on the list crossed out (allowing you to un-complete it if it was completed accidentally) as long as you stay on the same list. When you enter a different project or different filter etc. and then go back to the previous view - they should disappear.

That said, do you still see completed parent tasks after changing the view and then back?

Best regards,
David

No, I didn't realize that you had to switch views for it to disappear. It may be a nice idea in case you make a mistake, but for the most part, it's more helpful to stay in one view and check things off without them cluttering up the list. Is there a feature in the votebox for this?
