Do calendar entries remain if a project is archived?

I typically archive a project when I believe it's complete, or when I don't think there will be any action on that project for a considerable time. I want to know whether, if I can leave a task with a calendar entry within the project when I archive the project, will the entry remain on the calendar? For example, if I want to leave a task saying "consider if project needs reactivating", set 1 year in the future, will that task remain in my calendar next year, even if the project has been archived for a year?

Hello Paul,

I believe it won't. The iCal feed should only sync active tasks and an archived projects gets a different "hidden" status so its tasks shouldn't be included in the feed, but feel free to try it out - add a test task to a project, make it due "in 3 days" and archive the project, add the iCal feed and see if the task shows up.

Ok, I ran a test, leaving 24 hours after adding a task so that it would appear in my calendar, and then archiving the project. The task disappeared from my calendar. So the answer is that calendered tasks within a project do not remain in the calendar if the project is archived.
FYI, my solution is to add a project called "docket", in which I will place all such long-term entries, irrespective of which project they actually belong to.
