Recurring Tasks: Every [Day] After [Xth] [Day]

Here's a fun recurring task I'm trying to create.

As most know, every 2nd Tuesday of the month is Microsoft's Patch Tuesday. This is the day in which Microsoft releases various security and bug fixes for their software. If it's not critical, I like to wait until the weekend after to go through installing the updates. (Along with any other system maintenance tasks.)

The problem is I can't set this task for every 2nd Friday/Saturday/Sunday as the number of Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays after that 2nd Tuesday vary month to month. For example this month (November 2013). The first of the month was on Friday. This means the Friday after Patch Tuesday is the 3rd Friday of the month. Next month (December 2013) starts on a Sunday, meaning the Friday after Patch Tuesday is the 2nd Friday of the month.

I tried setting the date for "Every 2nd Tuesday +3" and "1st Friday after every 2nd Tuesday" but those don't work. Is there a way to set this recurring date? If not, it would be great to see it added to Todoist. Thank you.

Hello Travis,

Unfortunately, only the due date "every 2nd Tuesday" will work so it won't be possible to set a task to the Friday after that. The best solution is to simply let the task become overdue and complete it on the weekend.

Best regards,
