When adding a task for certain date, the previous scope is lost

App on OSX

Related to usability

Steps to reproduce

0) I am in 7-days view
1) Cmd-Shift-A (Add a task)
2) Type a task name and due date (i.e. "next mon")
3) Enter

Expected result: Task is added, some flash message is displayed and I end up in 7-days view

Actual result: Task is added and I am moved to tasks list for "next mon"

If not just changed it would be super nice to make it possible to turn that off by some kind of setting or something. It is really annoying to have to click again and again if I want to stay on my default 7-days list.

Thank you for your report, but that's actually expected behavior. If you use the Quick Add feature to add a task, then depending on the task's properties, you'll be redirected to:

1. The project to which you add it - if the task has no due date.

2. The date view for the day you schedule the task - if it has a due date.

This way you can check what other tasks you have scheduled for the same day or in the project.

We will consider changing this behavior and you're welcome to vote for this request in our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/408/
