Exchange related links not working following laptop re-build

I've recently had my work laptop re-built and the pst files that I backup on a monthly basis copied off onto an external hard drive. The problem I am currently experiencing is that all the email links that I had as tasks before the re-build no longer open. Is it a case of copying back my pst files to a specific folder location that todist is linked to? (I did read some of the previous posts but they didn't seem to cover this issue)

As I was trying to troubleshoot this I also noticed that when I created new tasks today that the email link would open if I kept the email in the same folder but what I had previously done was to create the email task and then archive it off from my inbox. Once I had done that the link no longer worked.

Any advise here would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hello Barry,

We're sorry for the inconvenience, the issue with the links not working after moving the email seems to occur in the latest update, we're still working on a rewrite of our plugin addressing this and other issues.

As for the PST file related issue - please clarify, you back them up and then move them to another drive or just copy to the other drive? If you're actually moving these files, then this will indeed make the emails they contain inaccessible, not only for our plugin, but in your Outlook in general.

Best regards,
