What is wrong with reminders to my phone?

I am not receiving reminders on my cell phone. I am using Android app, the outlook plugin and the web client. I have configured reminders on some tasks and I don't receive their reminders.

I went to the reminders setting page, and my configuratio seems OK. I tried sending test SMS and it did not wor, I tried sending test push notification and it didn't work either.

I receive my morning set of push notifications all the time for all the tasks for each day

Hi Luis,

On the settings page you were at before, does your Android device show in the list of devices at the bottom? If you are not receiving a push test or reminders, then for some reason it has lost connection, and you should remove all devices listed there, remove the app from your Android and re-install it.

Now please note you do not need to use SMS reminders if you have our Android app installed, there is also only one Default Reminder option (in the same place). You would have to choose or add multiple reminders for each type if you wanted that. If you still do, within the Phone number options on the same page, try using "International" as your provider, and using one of our Canadian "Send From" numbers, this should resolve the issue.

Hi Brendon,

I changed my provider to "International" and it works fine (i.e. it receives SMS test notifications from all of your numbers, USA and Canada).

On the push notifications, I noticed my Android app did not have a check mark on my settings - notifications - Task reminders box. I checked and it now works well with the test message. So apparently I will not have to re-install my app (good).

However, I am not sure what "Default time" means under the Notifications settings. It is set now at 9:00am. Does it mean I will receive a push notification for all my tasks at 9:00am? I already have my "Daily review" sent at 8:00am.

This is actually a new feature that I believe is the default time for task reminders created without time. I have asked the developers about this one and I will let you know exactly when they reply.

As you can see it's quite new.

I am also not getting push notifications on my Android phone *except* for when I just now tried having a test notification sent from the settings page on your website here.

Are you saying that if I'm not connected to the internet at the exact time of the reminder, that I will not receive the notification at all, or does the notification arrive once I return somewhere where my phone is connected to the internet?

Hello Doron,

If you're offline, then the Google server will retry sending you this notification later as you connect.

We're currently working on adding offline notifications generated locally by the app which will make them accessible offline.

Best regards,
