Attaching files in Windows 7 64-bit
Hi, I'm trying to attach files by Windows application (under Win7 64-bit). When I click 'Attach files, documents or images' button, the dimmed main window below Notes dialog box goes to default view (7 days, overdue in my case), but remains dimmed, and Notes dialog box is still active, nothing else happens (there's no Drag & drop message ...)

We're sorry for the inconvenience, we're currently working on a new version of our Windows app which will address this and other issues the current version unfortunately has.
That said, please attach files to task notes through the web-app at https://todoist.com

It works for me on the web (IE 10.0)
Which browser are you using, which version?
And this is an updated new version of our desktop application, let us know if it solves the issue. It should auto update but here is the download anyway.
The updated version for win desktop doesn't solve the issue for me; it behaves the same as the previous one.

I am using Firefox 24.0. It's tricky to use the desktop version as our work computers are pretty locked down.
I can't attach files through the web-app in Firefox 25.0. I push the button but nothing is happening.
It works in Chrome, but I usually use Firefox for work. How can I solve the problem?
Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this issue in Firefox 25.0. Please try to log out, clear your browser's cache and Todoist's offline data (in Options -> Advanced -> Network), reload the browser and make sure that you access this URL directly: https://todoist.com If you use a bookmark, check if it points to this URL and doesn't contain any other text incl. version numbers.
Thanks for the answer. I've found another way before I notice you reply. I disabled Todoist app for Firefox, reloaded the browser. Then I activated the app again. And it works!
Hi all, I see this issue rarely (less than 1 in 20 file uploads (either attaching a file or importing a project template)) on Chrome; when it happens I try the same operation in IE, where it works all the time. By the time I do the next upload (I don't do that many) the issue has already fixed itself somehow and I can upload through Chrome, again
Thank you for this information. Unfortunately, we can't reliably reproduce this issue every time and there could be many different factors why once in a while occasionally it may not work. If you do notice anything specific when it happens again, please let us know.

On the web, I can't reproduce this issue, I've just attached a file using Chrome. Please tell me - what browser are you using and does clearing the cache help?
I just use the website, and I did clear the cache and everything else. No luck. I'm using Chrome (Up to date). All I'm trying to upload is a small PDF.
I just downloaded the windows app that you linked to and I can't attach on that either. hmmm
Please tell me - what's the name of the PDF file, or try to rename it to some short name with no special characters and see if it helps.
I tried that first. No luck. I tried multiple times with many different names including no caps, no specials, and no spaces. No luck...
Tried everything (just about) that I have on my desktop, including docs and jpg. Nothing works
Morning brings new hope. :-) Haven't changed anything but I was able to attach the file. Don't know why?.
Theoretically, this might have been a temporary server issue, but I'm glad to hear it works for you now :) If you'll ever experience this issue again, please let us know.
