New install on Windows XP with IE6 crashes.

I have just installed Todoist on an XP SP3 laptop.
When I try to launch todoist, it crashes with "Todoist for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. ..."

Looking through the help threads, I see that IE can sometimes be a problem.

I am forced to keep IE 6 as I regularly use a work app that only supports IE6.

My questions;
Could my problem be due to IE6?
If so, what options do I have?
If not, what is my next step?

Hi Garry,

Yes, IE6 can be a problem with Todoist, we do not fully support it anymore, but this does not mean it's the cause. You can try closing the app (using the desktop app? Not the Outlook plugin?) and clear the cache for IE, and re-try again. Also, make sure IE is accepting cookies.

The only other option would be to use the web version of Todoist. Or the extensions for Chrome & Firefox.

Hi Brendon,

Thanks. I have tried as you suggested with no success.

As I am only trialing Todoist as a PC/Android shared app, I will run with the Firefox plugin (which seems to work fine) for the time being.
