Labels Disappear

M

Hello.
My labels keep disappearing. No labels show in my labels list. This happens on Chrome only and only in the web app. Labels show up fine in my android app, the chrome extension and in firefox. I do not have any browser extensions or plugins except the Todoist plugin that has been installed since before this started happening.
I would appreciate your help as the web app is my main method of using todoist and i cannor work without labels.

Regards,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Which version of Chrome are you running, and which OS/version are you on?

Does this happen every single time, or can you view your labels randomly? Are you still able to use labels?

Please try clearing the cache for Chrome and see if the issue persists.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hello
I am using Version 30.0.1599.101 m on windows 7
I have to log out of windows and log in again to see labels.
I then see the labels and can use them but after closing chrome several times and opening it during daily use, they suddenly disappear and the only way of bringing them back is logging out of windows.
I tried closing the chrome.exe process to see if it helped and then reopening chrome but it didnt work.
I will try clearing the cache, but now I am already seeing the labels since I logged out and logged back in to windows. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Thanks for your quick response.

Regards,
Michael

Michael,

It could be a weird cache issue, which clearing it would resolve the issue. Let me know if it does help.

Thanks,
Brendon.

I am having a similar issue in windows internet explorer and chrome. When I click on the labels icon at the top of the screen it says that I don't have any. They are showing up fine in the iphone app.

Hi Edward,

Please clarify, have you tried clearing the cache for each browser to see if it resolves the issue?

How many labels do you have, are any of them long in name?

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi Brendon,

I have tried clearing both caches. Still when I click on the labels icon "@" at the top of the page it reads "Sorry you have no labels." I have about 65 labels, one word each, the longest is about 15 letters. They all display correctly from the labels menu on the iphone app.

Thanks,
Edward

That's incorrect, my apologies. It just reads "You have no labels."

Hi,

I have also been experiencing this problem on the Windows Desktop Application. Oddly enough, the labels are appearing just fine using the Chrome web browser and the Gmail extension. I tried uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it, but the labels still don't appear (and like others, when I click on the @ tab, it says I have no labels.)

I'm having the same problem with Mac desktop App as well. The web interface is fine.

Just updated to the latest version per a prompt from Todoist. Win7. All my labels disappeared and when it syncd it removed the labels from my online account as well.

FYI, i went into the windows desktop app and began to add back the labels. I added the first one in and all of the rest appeared. So, no worries - I guess. Strange.

I'm now experiencing the same problem. On one of my Win7 machines, no labels appear whether I use Firefox, IE or the desktop app (latest version). They are also missing if I use a CentOS machine and Firefox. At this time, they are still appearing on a Windows 8 machine running Opera and on my Android phone.

I've just had the same happen to me. I'm using Firefox on Win8. I did a routine cache clearance on my browser and when I logged back in to Todoist all my labels had disappeared - from existing tasks and from the show all labels screen. Argh!

I've added one back and all the labels have now reappeared. Weird glitch!

This happens to me same as first commentor Michael. Most of my labels went missing, only Chrome, not desktop app or android.

Fix for me: cleared browser cache and app data. Restarted chrome. Then had to reload the tab a few times.
