iOS Reminders Sync?

Can todoist sync with iCloud reminders? In other words, if I add a task via Siri, can that task be pulled into todoist automatically in the background?

Hi Brandon,

Unfortunately this isn't available right now but we might consider adding this in the future. Feel free to add this to our Votebox. http://todoist.com/Vote_iOS/

yes, with full sync (2 way, not sub) i would use premium version. without iCloud (cal and reminders), this (very nice app) is useless for me.

Sorry, but is this feature coming, because that would be really helpful with siri, or is there another way to add tasks with siri (no, i dont wanna open the app first :-) )

Hi Sven,

There are currently no plans to develop this at the moment but we'll consider adding it in the future as we improve our iOS app even further. :-)

That would be great.

Another question, because this was mi first reason to look at it. When i transform written text to digital text in the "Livescribe" App, i can choose where to put the content, or which program to use.

Is it your effort to implement that i can choose your programm or is it livescribes?

Thanks :-)

Hello Sven,

If Livescribe is using the phone's native "Share" system, then it's on us to add Todoist as an option to share data from other apps into it and we're will add such functionality in future updates.

However, id Livescribe has a certain proprietary method to do this and it's their own separate in-app way of sharing this data, then we wouldn't be able to support it.

iCloud sync with reminders... A must really... Get with it guys. I have reminders that I would like to sync with todoist but I have to manually transfer them. Makes me think... "This isn't worth the money" :-(

It is lot more value if the sync with icloud is made available. Admire your way of building the app... But worht more

Any chance this is happening soon? With iOS8 and 3rd party integrations with icloud, reminders, etc this should be easy now!

The other way for those that are interested is IFTTT.com can send an email whenver an ios reminder is created. So if you set it up to send to a specific project email address it'll show up. Problem is you can't tell siri to add a due date as it won't be captured in the email forwarded from IFTTT.

TODOIST, you've heard it 100 times before, this is a simple integrate that remember the milk has had for years! Please integrate it, you have the best platform out there, but Wunderlist keeps beating you to the punch and you guys need to make sure you stay on top!

No sync with iOS iCloud reminders via Siri. Why would anyone won't to use it. Installed it and it is a no from me unless this compolsaery feature is added. One would have thought it would be the first thing that was in the app. Epic fail

I saw another post that was asking for OS X desktop notifications. If you could sync with Reminders this would solve that problem as well. Please add the ability to sync with Apple's Reminder app. This is the only thing preventing me from paying for the premium service. Thank you

I completely agree that this is a total deal breaker, which is frustrating because I love the app so much more than Omnifocus, but Omnifocus has had reminders capture for years.

I'm testing out Todoist because iCloud reminders are no longer syncing properly between the cloud and my phone. It's really annoying.

With Apple Watch, this would be really useful. Who knows when apple will allow third party Siri integration, but this would be a great stop gap.

This would be amazing, I would love to be able to use Siri and then have the reminders sync into todoist

For anyone else interested in this feature, there is an IFTTT recipe that will push iOS Reminders to Todoist. This falls far short of native two way sync but was helpful for me nonetheless.

This is a one-way push of Reminders from iOS to Todoist. The drawback with this solution is that your Reminder due date/time is not passed along to Todoist as your Todoist Task due date/time. Also, while you can configure some of the other fields (priority, projects, note, etc), those values appear to be static for all tasks synced in this way and not changeable by task. And, this does nothing to sync your tasks from Todoist back to Reminders.

This goes a step further than the previous IFTTT solution proposed by @lorne.bourdo further up this thread. Hope this is helpful for other folks struggling with the lack of native sync between these products.

Yeah, the lack of sync with iCloud reminders is a real bummer. The app and the total environment look really cool, but I need to have the ability to see my tasks in the iCloud environment (in my case, BusyCal), and it looks like that is impossible at the moment. The IFTTT one-way solution doesn't really cut it for me, nor does the iCal subscription method as that is one-way as well and only shows as all-day events, not actual tasks. Too bad.
