past tasks and printing

AD

I gather from the materials I've read that in order to see my past completed tasks and print them I need to join Premium? If I do that can I also copy the past year's tasks to create an outline for the next year?

Hello Alan,

Yes, to access the full overview of your completed tasks, you'll need a Premium account and then you can also print this page (as any other page).

Regarding an outline for the next year - you can't directly create a task list out of your completed tasks, however, you could prepare a list in one or multiple projects, export it as a template and then later import it which would add all your tasks to the list. Please refer to this short video to see how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rl_CLGY_3o

Hiya, I have premium and am unable to print completed tasks :(.

If I open the project I can see *some* completed tasks (in date order) I am able to print, but I also see the little 'load more' icon at the bottom.

Clicking this a few times eventually shows *all* my completed tasks (in date order, but separate to the initial list above the 'load more' icon), and when I click the 'print this page', only the list above the 'load more icon' is sent to the printer.

I wanted to use this particular project as reference for similar projects and see all the tasks listed n correct date order as they were done...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello,

To print completed tasks from within a project, please click on the Karma score in the top-right corner, then go to "View All Completed" and select the project you want from the drop-down menu. If you then use the "Print current page" option from the gear icon, you'll be able to print this list.

Thanks, it's still not working for that particular project. Thinking back, I may have re-named the project half way through and maybe this is what is messing it up. I tried what you suggest on another project (that has had the same name all the way through) and this works fine.

That's very unusual, even a renamed project should work as it would show up as renamed on the list.

So if you go to the "View All Completed" list, do you see the project in the drop-down menu or not? If you do, when you select it, does it show tasks completed in it? At what point exactly does it not work from this view?

David

yes

"If you do, when you select it, does it show tasks completed in it? At what point exactly does it not work from this view?"

It shows the first 'bunch', except if I do it this way, there 'load more' icon is not available. Only if I view the same project going via project folder > view tasks the 'load more' icon is available and if I keep clicking it I am able to see all the tasks eventually. I am just unable to print them (only the first 'bunch' are printed.

Unfortunately, you can't print completed tasks from within a project. The "View All Completed" feature is the only option.

The reason why you see only a few task by default is because on this screen, aside from the project drop-down menu, there's also a "time" drop-down menu which shows "last 2 weeks" by default. Please use it to select a larger timeframe and you'll see all completed tasks.

Hi,

I know there is a time drop down - I selected 'Any time'. It only shows task from Aug til now, when I know I worked on this in Jun and July...

Thanks

Please clarify - August 2013 or 2012? We've implemented this feature in late 2012 and tasks completed before it was added haven't been stored there.

If it's August 2013 - so you do see the tasks you're missing from within the project itself and are certain you have actually completed them back then and not postponed or changed the dates?

Hiya,

August 2013 - shall I send you a screen grab of how I see them?

I can get them all on screen if I keep clicking 'load more'; however they are a separate date order to the ones show by default (ending Aug 2013) and I am unable to print them.

Thanks

Em

You can send screenshots to david@todoist.com and brendon@doist.io but before you do, please try to clear your browser's cache and just to be sure - try to access the "View All Completed" list from a different browser and see if the issue persists.

David

Hi,

Thanks for the email.

Please confirm though, did you clear the cache for your browser? Logging out as you did is only part of the process.

Thanks,
Brendon.

Hi,

Unfortunately, we don't seem to be able to reproduce this issue. Do you have any extensions installed for your browser that can change the UI, or anything that could block script?

Regards,
Brendon.
