Todoist WIndows Desktop

When I have to setup a VPN or something which result the connection to Internet is blokced, the Windows desktop client crashed imediatly. Why should it not turned to off-lines modus?

Hello Remco,

Please clarify - does this happen while the Windows app is already opened as you setup the VPN, or do you set it up first and then try to open the app?

Unfortunately, there is an issue with our app when used with a proxy server so it's possible that using a VPN may also trigger it. We're sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on a rewrite of our app right now and it will address all these issues.

Best regards,

Hi David- Any update on this issue? Todoist crashes when I log into a VPN and try to open the app. Thanks

No update yet, but this is a major re-write and we are putting our efforts into this. We hope to have it done soon.

Are you using the latest version from Todoist.com/windows? Though, it is true that it still does not really work under VPNs, and has issues with Admin rights as well. We hope at one point we can create an installer that does not require this, and hopefully works with VPNs, but at this time it's not.
