Setting a reminder every half an hour

Hi there,

I may be trying to use Todoist in a way that it is not designed for. I want to set a task with a reminder on the every half hour during the day before its due. Can I do that?

Hello Jenny,

Technically, it's not possible, but there are two workarounds which will allow you to achieve it:

1. Setting multiple reminders. There's no limit to how many reminders one task can have so you can add multiple absolute reminders set to:
- 4 Aug at 8:00
- 4 Aug at 8:30
- 4 Aug at 9:00
...and so on. You will get each reminder until you check off the task.

2. A more convenient way would be possible if you have an Android phone running Jelly Bean. In such case, you would get an interactive push notification which has a "Snooze" option. The snooze delay can be configured in the settings so you could just set one reminder to "4 Aug at 8:00", configure snooze to "30 minutes" in the app's settings and then just snooze it each time you receive it and it will repeat after 30 minutes.

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was worth asking. I'll look for another solution.

Kind regards,
