Adding an email to task as note

Is it possible to add an email to a note for tracking purposes rather than making it a task?

I am a heavy Outlook user and would love it if I could insert a related email in my notes so I have a history. Outlook has the feature to insert emails, but I cannot do it in Todoist or I don't think I can.

I have found two ways to work around this:

1. Print the email as a pdf and then attach it to the task. Would be much easier if I could just simply insert the email.

2. Add the email as a task and then make it a sub task of the original task.

Anyway we can shorten this process?

Can you not copy the email and paste it to a note? I tried it for a short email and it works..not sure how a long email would work

You used to get a 'code' when you added an email as a task and could copy this code and use it as note.

They have now tided this up and you no longer get the messy code but a nice message, however this means you can no longer add email links directly as notes!

I would like to see this feature added as a lot of my 'tasks' are issues that I am monitoring. I add all the relevant emails to it so I can quickly track things down.

I concur with Robert, I used to copy the email code into my notes all the time. The new neat feature is nice but losing the ability to reference email from notes is a fairly big loss for me.
