Nested tasks and main tasks in "today" view.

Hi, I'm using a chrome browser.

The today view shows all tasks to be completed 'today', but it seems to show a level 1 task (with dropdown option to view all nested tasks) as well as all the level 2 tasks *separately* in the same "today" view. So there seems to be a duplication, since the 'today' view shows all tasks due 'today' whether or not these tasks are nested. Is there a way to only show a Level 1 task in the 'today' view with the option to 'dropdown' all the nested Level 2 tasks and *not* duplicate the Level 2 tasks in the same 'today' view?

Sorry, a little confusing, my question!

Hello Fred,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to do that. This is an intended behavior because any other alternative would cause you to miss important tasks.

When you search for something, Todoist displays all tasks that match the search regardless of their indent level and then, if a task happens to be a parent task, gives you the option to view its sub-tasks as a reference.

Not showing sub-tasks separately would mean that in order to actually see all tasks that meet the search criteria, you would be forced to click on all arrows to expand all parent tasks to even see them. That said, we think having this just as an option for reference and showing you all matching tasks right away is more convenient.

Nonetheless, we appreciate your feedback and you're welcome to add a request for a change of search results to our Votebox: http://todoist.com/Vote/

Best regards,
