Gmail Login and Windows 8

I'm logged in the Windows application with a GMail account, the application wanted to auto update but windows (8) kept saying something line "this application can't run" when trying to update so the application just restarted without updating. I though I'd update manually by downloading and installing the latest version, so I did that and it worked.
Then when I tried to log in I logged in with a different GMail account (I have a few, and I wasn't sure which one exactly I was using before) and I went into a blank account (had registered that one before for the same reasons), I though I'd log out and log back in, but it's now automatically redirecting me into the account I first logged in. I can still access my tasks trough the mobile app, I'm logged in there and checked the GMail I'm linked to (it was different), I also logged in trough the web view (had to go to google to log out of the account I was in so I can sign in the right one though), but I can't log out in the Windows application to do the same.
As you can see GMail login is really confusing and needs managing of multiple logged in accounts (you can do that in GMail).
I can set up a password and use the account trough Todoist login but that would defeat the purpose and be a temporary solution.

Hello Veselin,

Our Windows app uses Internet Explorer to connect. Therefore, whether you're really using IE as your default browser or not, please open IE and log out from Google through IE and then Todoist will consider you logged out from Google and ask you to log in again.

Unfortunately, we can't set it up to ask you every time you want to log in through a Google account as the whole purpose of this feature is that you don't have to type in passwords and log in quickly without multiple clicks.

You could indeed, as you've said, set a password for your Todoist account and use manual login. If you don't log out of the Windows app, you will stay logged in so you wouldn't have to type it in anymore either.

Hi David,
Thanks for your support. It was my first reaction also, to go to IE and clear the cache/cookies/etc and check if I'm logged in a google account, but I did that and I'm not logged in. I also tried logging in and out with different accounts.
However Todoist application still picks up the account I logged on initially. It's IE10 and I'm not using it as a main browser, I also don't think I have multiple IE's installed, thank god.
I tried reinstalling Todoist, but that did not make a difference.

I'm not saying it should ask you for login information every time, just after you've logged out trough the interface, but that may not be possible. I'll try set up the password later if we can't get to a better solution.

Please also try to log out from Todoist but not within the app's window, but through right-clicking on the TD icon in the notifications area (system tray) and using the logout option there. This should completely clear the cache of the app itself.

Best regards,
