I'm on Mac OS and and doing alt + enter, shift + enter, command + enter, control + enter all don't work.
Please clarify, if you are wanting to add a task by using the keyboard instead of clicking on the red "add task" button, you can do so by pressing "enter" by itself.
I am trying create a next line of text, instead of adding the task. In excel you do this with alt, in gchat you do it with shift. Is that possible in todoist?
Thanks for the clarification. This isn't possible to do with a task name, if you'd like to add more information please do so in the notes area.
It is possible to have multiple lines in a task though, for example if you paste in text which has multiple lines, but I guess it's not possible to create new lines when editing the task name.
But anyway, thanks! :)
Yes, if pasted into the task name, it can do multiple lines, but you can not create a new line yourself.
So are you planning to add the ability to add a new line that Roman is asking about?
Example: I often create a task that consists of two urls for me to check out, but since I can't enter a new line (soft return) I have to run them together.
Reason: I consider checking out both websites as one task, so I don't want to create two tasks. Setting up a task called "check out two Gardening websites," then adding the urls as notes seems like too much work. Also, I often miss the little 'notes' indicator.
Just my request.
No, it was removed from the system. We recommend using the Notes feature to add more information, which the button appears when you hover over the task. Yes you have to add it after creating the task, that we will try to change in future updates.
