Rolling Tasks

I have a number of repeating tasks that come due on a specific day of the month or week. It would be great if they could just roll over to the next day until either I complete the task or the next identical event comes up. So, for example, there are reports that I have to do for work. I don't always get to them the same day the task reminder comes up. It would be good if they showed up every day following until I actually completed them instead of showing up in the x days ago section where I no longer notice them.

Hi William,

Thank you for the suggestion. It's possible this will be added in a future update. Feel free to add your idea to our Votebox, this suggestion is already posted, but you are expanding on it :) http://todoist.com/Vote/showProposal/22/

You could add a task for "every day" or "every weekday" and just postpone it until you complete it, as an alternative.

This is a great idea for tasks - it's missing from most of the task managers. I have a task that I have to finish by, let's say a week. I want it to appear every day for just that week and not just on the deadline. Is that possible?

Hello Boyko,

Unfortunately, that's not directly possible right now. You could set up a task with a date "every day starting Monday" and each day you complete it, it will move to tomorrow and on the last day you can hold SHIFT as you complete it so it will move to history, but if you don't want to check it off every day, with Todoist Premium, you could use recurring reminders so the task's due date could be one week from now, but it could have an "every day at 2pm" reminder attached to it which would notify you about it either via email, or SMS or mobile push notification.

Best regards,
