Maybe you could use the function "Export as template" to save it and then recover that with "Import as template". It's not as easy as copy and paste but as far as I know that function is not available.

As Alberto said, unfortunately there is no direct copy and paste feature available right now, we will consider adding this in the future. Feel free to vote on it if you'd like, http://todoist.com/Vote/

If you right click on a project and choose 'export as template' this will allow you to import the same tasks into a new project, but it does take everything from that project, not select tasks.

Hi Igor,

For now, the only way to duplicate tasks by importing a project template. We'll consider adding duplicate tasks feature in the future.

Two years later and still no simple function to duplicate a group of task. I wonder if the team might have lost focus a bit. I don't need Todoist on Android Wear or on my washing machine if basic functions on handling tasks are missing or not user friendly.

I really prefer Todoist over other todo lists, but lately it has become a time consuming task just to manage my tasks. I find myself now really often writing down my tasks to save time....
